Rawalpindi’s vibrant bazaars and narrow lanes stand in stark contrast to Islamabad, Pakistan’s only planned city and its capital. Islamabad boasts a tranquil, noise-free atmosphere and a subtropical climate with four distinct seasons. Tourist highlights include Raja Bazaar for traditional goods, Lok Virsa Museum showcasing the country’s art and history, the iconic Shah Faisal Mosque near Margalla Hills, and the charming Saidpur Village with its Hindu temple and Gurudwara. Day 1
Discover the dual personalities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad in Pakistan, blending tradition in Rawalpindi’s vibrant bazaars with Islamabad’s modern, planned charm. Explore Raja Bazaar, Lok Virsa Museum, Shah Faisal Mosque, and Saidpur Village, culminating in a scenic dinner at Monal Restaurant with a captivating city view.
Day 2
Departing early for Taunsa, a renowned barrage on the Indus River in Punjab, home to the Indus Blind Dolphin, Pakistan’s National Aquatic Mammal. Explore temples, art, and culture in Taunsa, a picturesque city, and enjoy an unforgettable camp night by the Indus with a bonfire, camel dance, and stargazing.
Day 3
Experience a serene journey along the Indus River on bamboo-propelled boats, offering a tranquil sightseeing adventure. Set up a delightful camping retreat at Jhanjhan Wali, nestled in cozy tents along the riverbanks, and immerse yourself in the peaceful ambiance under the starlit sky for an unforgettable overnight journey.
Day 4
Enjoy a unique day on the deck, witnessing Migratory Birds and the fascinating Indus blind dolphins in the lower to mid sections of the Indus River. Without modern distractions, relish an unforgettable time connecting with nature as these Side Swimming Dolphins navigate with poor eyesight, feeding on shrimps, clams, and small fishes.
Day 5
On this day, we conclude our boating adventure at Ghazi Ghat, heading to Bahawalpur for an overnight stay. Bahawalpur, the 11th largest city in Pakistan, lies on the edge of the Cholistan Desert, known for its skilled artisans, historical ruins, and ancient Buddhist sites.
Day 6
Bahawalpur, once the capital, founded by Nawab Bahawal Khan I, showcases grand historical buildings. After a brief visit, we’ll head to Channan Pir, a village named after a Sufi Saint. En route, we’ll camp at Lal Suhanra Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, home to diverse wildlife.
Day 7
Experience the vibrant Channan Pir Mela in February, marked by a seven-week celebration, with the fifth Thursday as a local holiday featuring colorful traditions like tying red cloth on a tree. Embark on a camel ride from Channan Pir to explore the Cholistan desert, culminating in an unforgettable overnight stay at Hallo Rani.
Day 8
Toba Tek Singh town is named after Sikh legend Tek Singh, known for his kindness in offering water and shelter. Our 8th day camel ride concludes at Toba, where we’ll camp in the desert, embracing the thrilling adventure under the open sky.
Day 9
Conclude your camel riding adventure at Derawar Fort, known for its massive old fort, marble mosque, and royal tombs in the Cholistan desert. Originally built by Hindu ruler Rai Jajja Bhatti, it was later claimed by Muslim Nawabs of Bahawalpur. Wrap up the day with a vibrant night featuring dance performances, songs, and camel dances with our staff.
Day 10
We’ll visit the elegantly designed tombs of Uch Sharif, a historic town founded by Alexander The Great, known for famous shrines like Bibi Jawindi and Jalaluddin Bukhari. Afterward, we’ll drive to Multan, the 7th largest city in Pakistan, renowned for Sufi saints’ tombs and a rich cultural blend along the Chenab River.
Day 11
Embark on a seamless transition to the airport as we prepare to catch a flight destined for Islamabad. Upon arrival, indulge in a leisurely evening, allowing you the freedom to pack and explore the local markets for exquisite souvenirs. Rest assured, our dedicated staff will be at your service, facilitating a smooth transfer and offering assistance during departure.
